Lethbridge Public Local #41 is the local council of the Alberta Teachers Association that serves the teachers in Lethbridge School Division within the City of Lethbridge. Our local is made up of teaching staff and administrators across 24 schools in the city.

Where do I find information on the most current collective agreement?
The most current collective agreement can be found on the Alberta Teachers Association website and is linked here (CA – Lethbridge 2020-24.pdf (teachers.ab.ca).
I tried to get information from the ATA website, but it tells me I need to create an account. How do I do that?
Just follow the steps listed here (Request an Account (teachers.ab.ca)) – please note that the steps will require you to provide your teaching certificate number if creating an account as a teacher. Student teachers and non-members do not need a certificate number.
If I would like to apply for a teacher qualification re-evaluation, who do I contact?
To have any evaluations completed by the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS), please visit the following page on the ATA website (Teacher Qualifications Service | Alberta Teachers’ Association). Please note that you will need to have an existing ATA online account to proceed as well as specific documentation listed on the site.
My school rep talks about specialist councils. Where do I find more information about these things?
Specialist councils are provincial councils, and each teacher is able to select the council that they can allocate their specialist council funds to. To see a list of the different councils, click here (Specialist councils | Alberta Teachers’ Association)
Where do I find information regarding the Professional Learning fund?
Information on the Professional Learning (PL) fund and guidelines can be found under our Members section in Professional Learning (you must be logged in to access). To request an account, register here.
I have applied for funds for Professional Learning, and I want to book a sub. How do I do that?
When booking a sub in ADW for an ATA approved event, you can select Professional Learning from the absence code drop down menu. Then, when entering absence details, select Funded by ATA as the Professional Learning Event. Remember that you need approval from your administrator AND the ATA office for funding before you can attend the event. If you have questions, please contact the ATA office at (403) 320-5531.
